Ascarya Solution

This Terms of Service outlines the rights, responsibilities, and ethical commitments of Ascarya Solution and its partners or clients. Ascarya operates as an independent platform for interdisciplinary research and professional services, focusing on AI ethics, digital law, green transition, and social impact. The terms are divided into two sections:

I. Research Collaboration and Projects

1. Purpose of Collaboration

Ascarya invites individuals and institutions to co-develop research that addresses the challenges of the digital and ecological era. Our goal is to generate knowledge that serves the public good and strengthens value-based transformation through inclusive, interdisciplinary inquiry.

2. Principles of Partnership

All collaboration is guided by transparency, mutual respect, and shared ethical commitment. Contributions—intellectual, experiential, or technical—must be acknowledged fairly. Decisions are made collectively, and disputes are resolved through constructive dialogue.

3. Forms of Collaboration

We engage in various forms of open cooperation, including:

• Joint research and co-authored studies;

• Policy reviews and evidence-based recommendations;

• Community-led journal development and editing support;

• Digital literacy and sustainability outreach programs;

• Data visualizations, thematic maps, or impact briefs.

4. Agreement and Scope

All collaborations must begin with a written agreement specifying:

• The objectives and scope of the project;

• The roles and responsibilities of each party;

• Data use and intellectual property terms;

• Monitoring, revisions, and dispute resolution.

Agreements are flexible and adaptive but ethically and administratively binding.

5. Publications and Access

Research outcomes deemed academically valid will be published in one of Ascarya’s three official journals under the Rumah Jurnal Ascarya Solution initiative. Not all research reports will be published in full. The editorial board curates submissions based on quality, relevance, and social value.

6. Documentation and Public Records

Ascarya may document collaborative activities (e.g., reports, workshops, pilot projects) for transparency and public learning. We respect requests for confidentiality and will not disclose sensitive information without permission.

7. Disputes and Jurisdiction

In case of conflict, both parties must prioritize amicable resolution. If unresolved, the matter shall be settled in accordance with applicable Indonesian legal jurisdiction.

II. Academic and Editorial Services

1. Types of Services

Ascarya offers the following services:

• Proofreading and substantive editing of manuscripts;

• Journal submission formatting and referencing;

• Journal publication assistance and indexing guidance;

• Open Journal System (OJS) setup and training;

• Book publication and academic writing workshops.

2. Scope of Responsibility

We are responsible only for the editing and formatting tasks as agreed upon. We do not verify data authenticity or the scholarly content of manuscripts. Clients remain fully responsible for the legality and originality of submitted materials.

3. Data Protection and Confidentiality

We safeguard all client data with strict confidentiality agreements. Editors and staff have signed NDAs. Upon request, files may be deleted from our system after the project ends.

4. File Replacement and Cancellation

• Files may only be replaced if editing has not started.

• Cancellation fees apply depending on the progress stage:

  • 0% for not started

  • 25% for initial review done

  • 50% for mid-stage

  • 75% for near-completion

  • 100% for completed tasks

The same applies to bundled services such as publication packages.

5. Payment Policy

All services require full upfront payment unless a specific agreement is made. Payment is processed via Ascarya’s official bank account. Special cases may allow deferred payment upon approval.

6. Refunds

Refunds are only possible if:

• Cancellation is approved before work begins;

• The refund value exceeds Rp25,000;

• No formal tax invoice has been issued.

Transfer fees and deductions apply. Refund requests must be sent via official email.

7. Intellectual Property

All documents remain the property of the client. Ascarya claims no rights over your manuscripts. You are responsible for ensuring that submitted content does not violate third-party rights.

8. Document Format and Editing Conditions

We accept .docx and PDF files with standard formatting. Double-column or single-spaced PDFs may be converted to Word for quality reasons. Non-standard files may be declined.

9. Communication

We communicate through [email protected] or our verified WhatsApp. We are not liable for issues caused by inactive email addresses or delayed responses.

10. Terms Modification

Ascarya may revise these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the official website. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the updated terms.
